- Old Tunnel State Park– This beautiful park is a scenic setting for hiking during the day, but at night the bats come out from the mouth of the spooky tunnel to find their evening meal– around 3 million of them to be exact!
- Haunted Fredericksburg Ghost Walk Tour– You’ll feel as though you’ve stepped back in time, as the guides are dressed in late 1800s attire. The tour takes you through downtown Fredericksburg, where you’ll hear chilling stories and experience supernatural phenomena; in fact, there have been several ghost-like appearances over the past few years during the 1-hour tour! Also, you can BYOB (beer or wine in a cup)!
- Fredericksburg Jail Tour– For the ultimate experience, we recommend adding the 30-minute jail tour to your ghost walk. They can also accommodate groups but take note that tickets are non-refundable.
Local Haunts for the Best Spirits

Dietz Distillery is also worth a visit. They use old-world distilling techniques and you’ll be fascinated by the process and history of alcohol distillation. This artisan distillery is known for its gin, vodka, and cocktail mixes, as well as their newest creations, peach or pear eau de vie, a style of un-oaked fruit brandies.
