Stand inside a more than 77-foot-tall hollow, reddish brown, Cor-ten steel sculpture known as “The Empty Cross”. Picturesque Texas Hill Country views surround you at every turn as you explore numerous monumental, spiritual sculptures that fill the heart and soul with comfort.

2. Tour the Schreiner Mansion

Learn about the incredible history of Kerrville at the Schreiner Mansion! Built in 1879, this historic site in downtown Kerrville is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It overlooks the popular Peterson Plaza and can even be rented for special events. Go for a guided tour of the mansion on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., exploring the period furnishings and architectural details that date back to Kerrville’s boom at the turn of the 20th century.

Experience the Guadalupe River by visiting one of several beautiful parks! Kerrville-Schreiner Park, Louise Hays Park and Flat Rock Park line this river that runs through Kerrville.
