2. Luckenbach Holds a Guinness World Record
Luckenbach is known for its music, but did you know that in 2009, over 1,800 guitar players gathered at the Luckenbach Dance Hall? That’s right! The 1,868 guitar players spent five minutes playing together, which earned them a Guinness World Record. These salamanders live in water-filled caves and are completely blind, instead sensing changes in water pressure and other factors in order to navigate throughout their environment. Due to the limited range of the species and water pollution, the Texas Blind Salamander is currently an endangered species.
