When you visit Enchanted Rock State Natural Area, you will be able to embark on a 4-mile roundtrip hike that brings you to the summit of the rock itself, offering great views of the surrounding area. 2. Guadalupe River State Park
Another of the top spots to go hiking in Texas Hill Country is Guadalupe River State Park, where you can check out one of several trails. The trail at Old Tunnel State Park is only 0.7 miles, which makes it a great choice for families with young children or older adults. Keep in mind that there is a short staircase along the trail. Plus, if you choose to visit around sunset during the summer months, you can see the incredible spectacle of over 2 million bats leaving the tunnel for the night sky each evening!
