You may have heard that the Corpus Christi beaches are amazing, and we can verify – that is completely true! The area is home to a variety of gorgeous beaches with fun things to do and tons of opportunities for relaxation. While you really can’t go wrong when choosing which of the Corpus Christi beaches to visit, we have gone ahead and put together some helpful information about some of the beaches you are sure to love when you come to visit. Let’s go ahead and explore some of the best Corpus Christi beaches!

1. North Beach

The first of the Corpus Christi beaches we are covering is North Beach, one of the two Bayfront beaches in town. This spot features Beachwalk promenade, cabanas, a park with restrooms, parking, and a play area, and more. You can also check out the nearby USS Lexington and Texas State Aquarium, two of the area’s most popular attractions — both located right by North Beach! With so much to do, it is no wonder that this beach has been named one of the top five urban beaches in America.

2. McGee Beach

The other Bayfront beach is McGee Beach, with its stunning manicured sand that is free of seaweed, giving it a beautiful and pristine look. McGee Beach offers visitors plenty of ways to hit the water, with jet ski rentals, pedal boats, and more. You can also enjoy fishing off the jetties, sand volleyball, and spending some time in the relatively calm waters off this beach. And, much like North Beach, you will be close to some of the best things to do in town!

3. Mustang Beach

Mustang Beach is part of the largest Mustang Island State Park and is an ideal location for a day trip when you come to stay with us in Corpus Christi. This beach is an 18-mile barrier island with natural beauty everywhere, and opportunities to spot wildlife, including turtles, dolphins, and birds. There are also lots of walking trails that take visitors along some of the most notable locations at Mustang Beach, including sea turtle hatching sites, making this a memorable experience for everyone.

4. Padre Island National Seashore

Another place of the Corpus Christi beaches that offers the chance to observe the area’s wildlife is Padre Island National Seashore, which is an enormous section of protected coastline. Here, you can see migratory birds, tidal mud flats, and more features unique to this coastal prairie habitat. In addition to viewing the conservation efforts at Padre Island National Seashore, visitors can also enjoy traditional beach activities like spending time relaxing on the beach, swimming in the water, and fishing (just make sure to follow all regulations). There are even some portions of the beach that allow vehicles!
